I wonder what is the character order option? Does that mean those in the left take more attacks than those on the right?

Yes, shuffling characters around is intersting option, I ´d like to see some info on it too. Will formations be possible like in Wizardry 8?

I already knew this video, but I now officially can say: This looks great. The slow party movement was the biggest flaw in the early access version, and you seemed to finally found a nice solution. As for monster speed, I think I´ll stick to 200% as it looks the most natural yet fluid option to me.

Merry Christmas! The monster movement speed bar is a nice option. Moving the character order is a nice option too depending on the monsters. For example, battling ghosts in Act I requires casting burning determination immediately, otherwise your whole party is going to be paralyzed in a few turns. Therefore, you can have one of your mage class cast the spell first if he/she has obtained expert level in Fire Magic.

Dreamwarden, couldn't you just pick the turn order just by clicking on the portrait before? Is that something that changed? Little confused on the part order thing.

Yes KMANFREE, you could pick the turn order before by clicking on the portrait. It looks like they just included another way to change your turn order by adjusting your party order. But I am confused too. I guess we will find out soon enough though.

Merry Christmas! Nice to see that the movement is far better than before. The only thing i wish for is a modified free look which doesn't snap back to the current view. Would be really great if you can turn around while looking around!

What attack animation? How can people still believe in that myth about attack animation?! Remember: there's no attack animation. It's just a figment of imagination. Also, attack animations are for weaklings!

I said about monster attack animation speed. Why did they increase only movement speed and forgot about attack speed? Medusa's attack animation is about 3 seconds.

Seriously now, you can obviously see he is swinging his sword alot faster.
They should call it animation speed if anything but yes the attack speed is increased.

lool at brigands when the highest speed is demonstrated(300%). 3:07. Attack animation of militia is not very long, so it's not easy to see if he swings sword faster or not.

In regards to the shuffling; I like it! I would like to add to jsebela's comment about formations.. I would like to see adjacency bonuses of some kind, perhaps through skills, abilities, race or classes. It could open up another facet of group synergy!

Nah, it's useless when there are only 4 characters in the group, only adds pointless micromanagement. In Wiz 8 it had since since there were 8 party members (6 characters and 2 mercs), and it allowed to do some interesting stuff with weapons and positionong. But 4 + mercs is too small group to make formations useful.

The attack speed is indeed same in all scale, everything else has increased speed according to the scale.
The title is called "MMXL Party and Monster Movement"

Merry Christmas! This is so much better! I really like the more fluid walking movement and switching up character order is a nice touch too. I've never really been in a situation where I need it though because I always have my mage as my first character I create. I'm getting really excited about this game now!!!
