Awesome! Thank you for the update. Any news on when we might see a patch? Also I used a fix I saw on the forum to fix the save files increasing in size. Will that be a problem when the patch fixes it also?

Yes movement speed per tile for you and the enemy is a must fix. Also would it be possible to have an option for old school grid hopping, giving us the option to enjoy that fast pace instant movement of the old M&M Xeen and prior games. I think that would be a great feature to have available.

And I have no problem with loosing saves - we are in beta TEST so i would gladly test it again :)

@Qik3: If we can prevent existing save files from working, we definetely will! In regards to the timing: It depends on the internal test results of the patch. As we will deploy a lot of changes, a first round of interanl tests and fixes will definetely need to be done. As soon as we know more details about the timing of the public patch, we'll let you know, of course!

Please, no mana auto regen or health autor regen in M&M X, it would be very bad even if some players ask.

The problem is that all action/Rpg, FPs, TPS have given a very bad habit.


Do you expect to include like in world of xeen, the initiative managment?

In World of xeen or might&magic 3, there was an order to know those who act before the ohers or if the monsters attack before our team.
In M&M X, thre is no such a thing.

@Zarick: Yes that has been a known issue. I'd need to find out, if that's something we can change for the next patch or for the ones thereafter. Sooner or later it will definitely be fixed. So a supply drop when resting at an Inn is not intended, of course.

Thanks for all the hard work.
It will be nice to see how day/night work in the new pach, and most of the bugs gone. Now what we need is smoother player and enemy movement. This will be a gamebreaker for many people, if not fixed. It's slows you down, and take you out of the games immersion. You feel like your playing a board game. ^^

OK. I'm an old gamer. MM2 and World of Xeen was my favorite. would like to be able to move faster and smoother too. Can't wait to see finished game. BTW MM7&8 Worst ever. please don't make the same mistakes that game had. story line Very important... VERY Happy with this game

just made it outside town. Was going to Naga tower, bandits started to advance when I started to run. game locked up and could not move or turn to face enemy. Nothing would work. it was spiders near bandits near Naga tower.

Please add "End turn" button. Automatically switch all your characters into defence stance. Very boring to do everything manually if you want skip turn.

That is one quality response.

Please consider the ability to put a couple more power bars onscreen. The more I can do without going into inventory, the better.

How about melee skills like wild swing, where you get much more damage, but a greater miss chance? Or spin swing, you can hit everything around you, etc. Melee always needs more choices vs casters to make engaging.

A speed slider will help. I used an app that speeds up games, I ran it at 1.75x, felt good.

Its good to see you guys putting so much effort in this game (though I actually expect that much). When is this patch going to be released, exactly ? Ive been unable to find an exact date anywhere. And btw - you rly need to do somthing about the Ranger. Ive started the game anew - this time with a custom party (darf, orc, 2x human mage) compared to when you play with a ranger in your party - this setup makes the game a WHOLE lot easier (like blow enemys in melee away, then roast him with fire)

I would much rather have a visible durability system for items than a 10% chance of getting an attack blocked and breaking the weapon I just got repaired. Have to see how it goes after the next patch but I imagine there will still be complaints.

I agree with KMANFREE, I'd love that option.

I really would like to see a better map too. If I look at the map of the well under Sorpigal, I can't tell if I've mapped it all. The boundaries need to be better defined.

Hello, I am really glad that time management is number 1. 5/1/2 was my guessed change after I played the game, but I'd say, that it will end up 5/2/3 or 6/2/3. However, please, do not "overbalance" the mana management. In every MM game the mage started with mana pool sufficient to 4-5 basic attack spells so please, do not make much easier. Mage clases were often a little stronger in the late game than their warrior counterparts and it is logical, that in the beginning it works in an opposite way

Another bug missing in your list: it's always the Melee weapon that breaks in ranged combat, not the bow.

And please make sure the game gets not too easy when all the bugs are removed!

Great work on a great game. The good old times come back!

there should be other action bars for scrolls/potions and all other shared actions (attack/defend too?) so we could have more space for spells,
dev plz play dungeon master (the firsth one) and copypasta the best ideas (the2x2 hero positiong, or trap-enemy respawn)

do a hard work and deliver us a game worth playing, like Dark Souls hard and so playable,

Firts of all, thank you for Early Access - great move.

Iam quite sure, that it was mentioned somewhere, but my thaughts about improvement after few hours of playing are basically three - day cycle is too fast, I would apreciate possibility of writing notes to map and I would LOVE to have characters accessable at a vendors shop - so I can check offers and my current equip.

BTW I love the game - looking forward to see more ... LOG OFF ... time to play some more rounds ;-)

Please keep the data files open to tweaking. That will just give the game tons of legs/mods. We'll be able to tweak things to our likings, since one size doesn't fit all. For example we can all change the time cycle right now if we choose. I went 1-1-1 and never looked back.

Hey I know you guys are working on a weapon Durability system, just thought id share some ideas. Maybe you could lower the break chance and add a disable chance, such as, if a successful block happens there is a chance the shield will get knock out of the players hand and be unusable for like 3 or 4 turns. just an idea. Great game!

i im really pleased about this: "each time you defeat that type of enemy more statistics about that type of enemy will be revealed in your journal. So the more often you meet them, the more you learn about them." i love that you give a bonus for persistence of the player

Interesting game. Good work.
As far as game balance:
- Ivan was a joke. I took him out with arrows, and lost not a hit point
- What's the point of ghosts? You are either paralyzed or you can slug away and kill them in 20 (regular) or 40 (elite) terms. If they can't paralyze you, they can't hurt you - and they can paralyze you way too easily.
- I loved the lighthouse (the second time around at least; the first time was flaky - very buggy; I build a new party and everything was good)

I remember M&M fondly and purchased the early version. It claims to be the same game but with today's improvement. I love the strategy turn-base of the game. But surely the final version will have wasd + mouse movement rather than the clunky arrow to turn your movement. I was so disappointed I couldn't get past it. Stopped playing. Here's hoping you will make this more natural for today's games

Let the US purchase the deluxe boxed edition maybe? Even a limited run or the ability to import the UK version or something - anything - so the many, many die hard fans who have been waiting for this game for 10 years can add it to their collections would be fantastic. Not being able to do so is a major downer to alot of people who would otherwise LOVE to give you their money!

I was disappointed about the tile based vs free-movement BUT I am willing to adapt!

One thing that would make me super happy is an option to move your view from left to right using your mouse instead of the default 'Q' and 'E' keys, this would make the game much quicker for me as opposed to right now pointlessly looking left and right only to have your view fixed back to straight ahead.

With this change you will still have the option of looking around. Thanks

I like the intro music alot. I would love to see MM6 like dungeon enterance art if possible. A hand painted 2d Picture related to the thema of the dungeon just like in mm6+ games. I dont see any henchmant around for id items, repair items etc. I cant keep comparing to early mm games so bare with me, why is it not possible to open inventory screen while trading? cant you make a smaller Windows pop up instead of blocking whole screen, just like in previous games?

-My camera keeps getting 'stuck' at an angle and the only way to 'straighten' out my view is to log out and log back in. When this happens I can only move at an angle and get stuck in corridors then.

Please add Mouse looking and travel in the direction you are looking.

I know I can look Left and Right with the mouse. But what I'm suggesting is that you allow us to also when looking to the left side. my view and the party will now stay facing that way instead of forcing my view forward again. I would like to see this added if all possible.

Seeing this post makes me really happy. There was some skepticism in the Steam forums as to how seriously you would be incorporating player feedback, and I think you just answered that question with a very strong statement!

I look forward to testing your next patch. I do hope that the enemy movement will be addressed soon though, because faster combat means faster playthroughs!

I'm enjoying the game, but have noticed that it seems to corrupt my sound driver when I exit the game (the speakers play a rapid skipping noise, and nothing seems to get rid of it - that I've found - except replacing the driver... Even a cold boot! I have an Asus Xonar card and the latest drivers. Please contact me if you need more details about my set-up

Biggest issue is that the game design takes out all ability to play strategically. Even if I see enemies from far away, or detect them, I still have to walk up till they see me before I can attack. Moving as a block takes away ability to use different classes differently. Up close, my ranged units are useless, and far away, my melee units are. Other than spells, you basically attack everything exactly the same. Only difference between monsters is how many hits they take to die.

1) Movement of the characters is to slow. Run option?
2) The names that automaticly are assigned to the characters (almost in spanish ver.) are not like RPG.
3) Possibility of more portraits or import your ones.
4) When you are picking the habilities, is hard to see what are picked or not.
5) Will be interesting that be able to see your inventory when buying.
6) Rest at the posade, cost on of food. We are in a "hotel".
7) Buy food cost 60 allways, don't care if you have at top of it or not.

8) Will be good, almost for me, that there aren't a lot of respawns of mosters, it been some times when back to rest at the city I found a respawn and I died.
9) I rest and some effects are not dissapering.
10 )Days past so fast.
11) Respawns in shops.
12 ) Better PNJ. in cities interactions, to make them more realistic, introduce domestic animals, people moveing realistic.

Dear developers.I have a list of things that must be fixed :
1.'Square movement' is discusting ! (I have played previous versions of MM and i hope this would be fixed)
2.Right mouse button for moving. (I was disapionted when i couldn`t use the right button of the mouse to move)
3.Loading screen is awfull ,rotating disc with a smoke?(please create some loading text ,like helpfull tips ,or world history etc,)
4.Very anoing to return or move to needed area without - fast travel option !

I played for 12 hrs yesterday. At some point the party lost the ability to rest. The button stayed dark forcing just fighting 2 or 3 battles then limping back to town weak and stupid to sleep at the in (which still worked other than the problems mentioned above).

When using the air spell that pushes back the foe one square, if there are two opponents, at least a lot of the time combat gets stuck with nobody doing anything and the party dark.

There are more bugs but hit the small post limit.

there needs to be a way out of combat for non boss related engagements. if there is already such a button/option, it isn't clearly identified.

I agree with Horroscopex, related to the movement blocks... either offer a speed up option, or speed up movement or disable step movement so we can go much faster than the current delay.
remember world of warcraft and their movement problems lost alot of players for no reason.

i like the grid system, just not the imposed delay between steps. please consider reducing or removing the delay or leaving it to the players decision

regarding shops and comparing equipment. personally i like the tooltip popup to compare currently equipped items. that makes it much quicker and easier to decide without having to switch dialogue boxes/inventory etc.

consider a 2nd row of action buttons, maybe the (`) can be used to swap rows back and forth. or devise a simple macro system.
expanding HUD for 2nd row is an option too. or stretch it out on either sides of the character portraits for another 5-10 slots.

Consider HUD info/combat info to be overlaid on the unused bottom portion where the dragons are. and also consider removing the movement arrow buttons in favor of consolidating onscreen info. its a beautiful game, lets really see it all

Your small squares with the spear image (its edges are more exact) aren't necessary to me, throwing, etc. Well think already, you revive a great series, leave that is pleasant to fans. Some of what you say above is needed. I am almost to level five and have everyone equipped with the best available. I've cleared out all of the bandits and have two people to kill in light house. But I can't get anywhere else. And I need better spells. Right now I face either fighting the ghosts, or an Elite with damage reflect in the lighthouse. Both are, at best crap shoots.

I have a bit of an issue with the combat system. Was it intentional that a random piece of equipment breaks despite the battle situation? because to my mind, I can't find any logic as to how a ranged attack being blocked by an enemy causes my melee weapon to break. This has happened twice now. I also have encountered a bug with my second fight after leaving the town where an enemy won't progress forward after a certain grid. It freezes the battle and won't allow me to break free of it.

I also don't particularily like the character portraits, they have no emotion or life. I find that a massive buzzkill, I enjoyed seeing my characters reactions to different situations, so far, they just seem like static portraits. It just doesn't feel like original might and magic without it...
Also, would be very helpful to have icons dictating where certain shops are and what shops they are too. Unless that's already being addressed...
Other than that and the bugs, it's a decent game.

Oh, I do have one more little bother to add as well, the quick rest shortcut "r" is rather close to the "e" for the turning, and I'm kinda clumsy in the way that I don't always press the right button. Perhaps a confirmation option would be nice, so I can cancel the rest? It just seems logical, as your older games had an entire "rest" screen with variable waiting times...
Wouldn't mind seeing that neither. Also, inn's shouldn't cost you your current food supply for resting, doesn't seem right...
