I dont understand ... Warfare grants extra Mana points ?

And it seems strange to me that the ability to swim come from the blessing of a dragon ... Well it is just swimming ! Don't need to be blessed by a god just to swim ! oO

@LASTJACK I hope it is a typo and they wrote warfare instead of mysticism...

RPGGUY, I also hope for it. Skill names should be logical.

LASTJACK, maybe that's a possibility to "breath" under the water or to walk on water surface...

The whole sentence does not make sense. It probably should be:

For example, Mysticism Novices start out with extra maximum Mana points that rise with each new skill level. Two more Mana points per level are added with each new tier the character unlocks.

Or something like that...

The blessings seems like a good idea. Not just giveing you the skills at the start, but get them as a reward. Just be carefull not to make it as the heroes 6 skill system. Where I find myself spending skillpoints on the same thing every time. There are other choices, but it dosen't seem like they are worth spending skillpoints in.

Love you thoughts and the changes you made. Traditional RPG need these kinds of breaks to improve and develop.

Hope that those blessings are hard to get ...

I was hopping for some kind of choice to made between the blessing, but it seems that there are 6 blessings, and we have 6 slots for blessings so in the end, we'll all finish with all of them ...

So really, i hope they will be hard to get

Thanks for this post. While I understand the logic behind seperating combat skills and noncombat skills (as blessings, hirelings, et.) I'm not sure if this is a real improvement. It may also come down to being a matter of personal taste. However, it seems that only by playing MMX can I really pass a fair judgement on the whole change. I'm looking forward to see how these mechanics work. I also wanted to praise you for increasing the number of combat skills.

Can we have "Wizard's eye" with the same audio sound of "Ah ha!" in a deep scruffy voice in MM6? because that was always hilarious XD if not i do hope we have Wizard's eye, it really comes in handy :D

Blessing effects seems to be very interesting. The most curious blessing for me is Ylath's. What will it will give? Maybe possibility to fly?

As usual, I love it. I just love the fact that you have such an awesome foundation built already. This is going to be a game to be remembered for sure.

So Blessings will serve similar role as "skills" in older MM titles where you needed swiming/pathfinding/crusader to get to specific dungeons and areas of game

Wizard eye had one great bonus compared to cartography
It showe all area around you even one you didnt had mapped yet what was really usefull in dungeons
So I guess we will see that one again :)

Somehow I just can't imagine a dwarf in full plate armour being able to swim.:P
The way I see it, Swimming means breathing underwater. For example, there could be some hidden underwater ruins that we couldn't even reach without Shalassa's blessing.
If anything, I hope these Blessings are NOT related to the main quest; exploring the world should always be incouraged, not artificially restricted by the plot.

BTW: wouldn't it make more sense for a Blessing to protect against it's OPPOSITE?

Great idea! Unless blessing turns into a routine.

Blesings should be hard to find, hard to get, and not on the main quest path ... They should be some exceptional findings after long hours exploring or achieveing epic quest ...

i hope those skills will have some restrictions... like this freemage on screenshot having light and dark magic at the same time? what is that... a dark mage serving lord of light? or dwarf defender using fire magic? that seems just wrong ;]
