Video not available to USA. That's a rather large market, no?

Some spells appear to be new or revamped. So I guess / hope they have improved the spell system.
That would be great! :)

To all you US fans. Release date: January 23rd 2013. The video discussed open development, which is now ended (ie no more new feedback will be added, a thanks to all those who gave feedback). There were also some photos of the deluxe box and its contents (the cloth map actually looked nice) and some short videos of gameplay.

I really hope you guys have made some additional changes already which are not in the latest early access build. To me personally the 23rd of January seems to be to soon. Not because of bugs, but because there is still to much gameplay left which doesn't feel polished at all. Starting at the movement, which still doesn't feel good.
Also lots of other games coming out during these weeks. Blackguards at Jan 24th, the new Shadowrun Campaign and Divinity in Feb. Would have prefered a later release.

If feedback is closed, maybe a sticky or announcement in the forums would be appropriate? . . .Particularly for those in the US who can't even view this video.

You've got to be joking...still no box edition for the US? So disappointed, I mean come on. Charge ridiculous shipping fees if you want, I won't even mind, I just want to be able to buy it =/

The release date is sooner than I expected! Hopefully there's enough time to finish it all up. I hope speeding up the movement speed is still in the agenda?

if they have no time to improve movement, i suggest making an option to move without animation(as it was in old games).
I suppose it is very easy to do this.

From what I remember they said it is already in place but they were working out some bugs with it. Not sure if they meant monster movement, or your movement, or both.

I'm just curious, but are there any plans for a US boxed release? I hope so, especially since it looks so nice and we got to vote for the box cover. It would be great on my shelf along with the previous nine games!

seems like they´ll use next mont to prepare for release, so what they didn´t fix to this day, won´t be fixed until first post release patch. The big question is when it will come.
So, devs, will there be day 1 release patch, or it will come some time later?

01/23/2014, fantastic! The additional gameplay footage looks great. The final release timing works for me. Dark Souls is coming out in March and ESO in April. At some point, Blizzard will announce when their Reaper of Souls DLC for Diablo III is coming out (probably Q1 or Q2). Dragon Age Inquisition and the The Witcher III in Q3 and Q4. Gonna be a good year for RPG fans!

You should check out Path of Exile, free to play Diablo type game but it is of excellent quality, better than D3 IMO.

Thanks, I saw the RoS announcment after my post! I will also try out Path of Exile. I enjoy playing D3, but it does get boring after a while. It looks like RoS will improve the overall gameplay. I am glad they are getting rid of the Auction House too. It was nearly impossible to get Legendary item drops. I have gotten through Hell with the Wizard and I have only seen one legendary item drop.

With D3 RoS going to be released in March along with Dark Souls II, I like the release date of this game even more. Then ESO launches on April 4. Ubisoft should strongly consider releasing this game for Xbox One and PS4. I am a PC gamer, but at some point you have to face economic reality. The consoles are relatively cheap compared to gaming rigs; and as a consequence, they sell a lot more copies of games that way. I want M&M games to keep coming out, so they have to sell!

Look at home copies of TES IV and TES V have sold since Bethesda added consoles. Also, Blizzard has released Diablo III to consoles. It just makes financial sense and helps create the revenue for investment in additional series games and new IPs, especially with the Indie developers putting pressure and the big gaming companies.

Looks very beautiful. Hope the polish is there because it is not quite there in the early access release. Good luck! Cannot wait until January 23rd now ;)
