Go figures:P

Thanks! Keep up the good work!

In any case, I think we've been clear very early on that there would be no Arcomage, paper dolls or alchemy in Might & Magic X -- you'll note that these weren't present in the Xeen games either.

It would have a sense if all sprites where adapted. Not a "ugly" version of the official graphics.
Useless options imo :-/

Convince UBI that paperdolls etc. will attract more buyers, will strenghten the brand due to better reviews and hence translate into better profits.
And make some polls how much money people would invest for getting archomage etc. (e.g. I would pay 10 USD for getting well done paperdolls + archomage)

But what I dont get is why you focus on the wrong things. The priorities should be
1) Excellent game mechanics (including spell / skill system)
2) Good, extensive content
3) Nice, intuitive, convenient UI
...
9999) Retro mode
This could be a (nice) add-on. But not smth people spent precious and scarce time on.

Again, this retro mode was something programmers were having fun with in their spare time. If we don't let people blow some steam and do silly stuff like this, then working on video games would be a nightmare. I strongly believe that in order to make fun games, you must have fun making them. Else why bother?

I wonder why retro mode sets people up in the wrong way. I recall not too few forums where gamers ask for retro games and remakes or sequels that would be as much retro as possible.
And as this was made in spare time, I don't think that it is appropriate to compare it with any other demands, which are addressed via general working time (and it does not seem to me that devs intentionally would not pursue future game improvements)

As for the negative part. Do you wonder? Speaking for myself I am disappointed at how much things will be missing from what I remember from the series. And devs show me how they are spending time in which they could add new content or hunt the bugs.

But for this specific feature, I also know that it was somehow announced a long time ago, so it's not like they ignore our feedback and do something else instead.
Also I know that on some feedback (paperdolls) were already replies that it may take much more time as it may require hard coding in the game core.
So that's why I am not surprised (nor angry) when I see they finished retro mode.

For paperdolls and additional player wanted content - well it could be kickstarted - even if you don´t get the money, you would at least see how many people wants it. It is shame that ubisoft is such cheapskate to limit your budget so much.

3DO wanted money and quick, I remember, that between MM6,7,8 the interval was a year! Between 8 and 9 two years. But they were building game on new engine, so I understand why it ended as it ended.

Just have a look on the huge success of Legend of Grimrock -__-

As for the complaints, you people need to understand this is not Call of Duty or any of those big budget AAA games. It's a middleware game and it's not going to turn into anything "more" by complaining about it. The devs have to proritize stuff very heavily, and I think you agree there are more important things to consider than paper dolls and minigames.

I don' t know where you come from and what "spare times" means there, but where I come from "spare times" means you can do with it whatever you like, just saying ;-)
@ the other 2 folks:
You got it :-D

And what about boxed versions? Will there be boxed version in Czech republic, USA and other countries for release of the game? Or will it end with same result as in August with Early Access?

Most complaints seem to be about how an early access, middle of development game not even in Beta is not a finished game. Well, duh. What exactly did you expect?

Well it’s nice to see that there is lot of passion around here, even if this creates some clashes, thank you all for your investment in this project :)
As you know we are currently in the final straight of Might & Magic X – Legacy development and our teams are doing their best to offer you a great experience.
We are taking good note of all your suggestions and comments, many improvements are prepared by our team (broken items, riddles, bosses etc.).

We really are proud of what we accomplished with the final game and we can assure you that you will have lot to discover soon…

Assassin :D game that makes schoolchildren crazy.

Sorry, devs don't have time to spend on this on their free time, and they don't have enough budget to do it during their business time.
Maybe during their next vacations, who knows...
xD

To that sort of people: You are annoying at least to me. If you can do better, apply for a job at the team or start your own project on kickstarter.

Don' t get me wrong, there are some things that need to be done better, but let' s just wait for the final version.
What annoyes me is that some people always repeat their "I need this and that and so much more" critic even if it doesn' t belong to the subject like in this case :-(
BTW: Reading the introduction of this roject more carefully might have helped to prevent anger, just saying :-D

Personally, I won't be using Retro Mode; but as long as it doesn't hinder the developement cycle, and Marzhin has already assured us that it won't, then this feature is fine for me.

So pls people think about what is at stake before you write.

People say it is middleware game. I say why not put in effort to make AAA game?!

So, the comparison is a bit diffult to be done.

i mean, you cant be that...oh nevermind.

WHO actually has to lose more in this controversy of not enough extras in the game?...the devs or the fans WHO waited long time for something other than Skyrim?...

I want more 2 like paperdols, etc, but lets not kid ourselves, there isnt a game like this but LoG and I enjoy MMX more. If they put enough content/riddles(apart balancing skills and magic), THAT WILL BE ENOUGH FOR ME and others, till the next one when expectations will b way higher!

Cheers

2) Who dictates what? Devs spend their time the way they want. This won't change the fact of this game's inferiority to a whole set of 1990-es RPGs made with less resources and tools.
3) I have to spend my free time on useless crap all the time. I work in a university, you see.

1) There are some features that need to be polished before presenting them. Retro mode currently is far from being actually retro, visually it's just low-res without any smoothing.
2) I am not trying to dictate anything to anyone for sure. All I do is expressing my feelings on subject matter. I both have no rights and no power to dictate anything, but I have rights and power to criticize something I bought.

And something is due you two - especially Jsebela:
I might have over-reacted after reading a whole bunch of irrational comments and certainly not all of the accusations far above are relevant to you.

My only real criticism is that white glow around targetable NPC's (e.g. the Giant Spider 'Fluffy'). I know there should be an active target highlight, I guess I just don't like it all that much.
Is there/will there be an option to turn that aspect of the game off?
