The only thing is that i was hopping for a thief class too ... The fact that ranger become GM in dagger make me think that there wont be any thief ... class ... Hope i'm wrong ...

Here's a question I had:"He/she ... good perception and ... the vulnerable spots...." So I think it is logical that a ranger is able to GMs daggers. However, a ranger is always chosen as an Elven, isn't it a little bit too strong for a ranger that GM Endurance is achievable. If this is the case, we can choose an Elven ranger who is talented at range attack while being fair good at melee combat with GM Endurance.

And for perception, it only affect ranged attacks (ee previous posts), and is not involve with damage dealed with daggers ...

looks like the magic skills can only be grand mastered by the caster classes. Makes sense to me and sounds good.
A minor thing which is a little bit irritating for me:
How can someone who becomes grand master of the bow not even be able to use a crossbow? Maybe a "story behind" (e.g. archers simply dislike crossbows) might explain that?
Offtopic: thanks for getting larger images to work (link) I remember some old articles where I used the browser zoom to see details ;)

There are 2 options - either attacking close range with a GM dagger is better or attacking from close range with a GM bow is better.
If dagger is better then the wardens special ability is useless.
If the bow is better then learning GM in dagger is pointless.

You mean the illusion of choice.
"You can pick this 5 damage sword, 12 damage dagger , or this 50 damage bow"

Probably different weapon can be good against different enemy.

Bows have been part of the Elven culture for ages; they're more or less born with a bow in their hands. ;-) Why would they even think of using a cross bow (a mechanical weapon)? ;)
Regarding damage from bows: we will keep your feedback in mind during final balancing!
Concerning Endurance and Arcane Discipline skills: Stay tuned for a blog posting about skills & blessings this week!
More classes will be revealed on the blog soon! ;)

I think you already explained it but I missed that point^^
--> Perfect answer ;)
Thanks again :)

And if we suppose that for each race, we have a melee + a ranged fighter + a caster ...
For elves : ranged = ranger ; caster = drood? ; melee = a light warrior i guess, maybe wielding spears ..
For human : caster = freemage ; ranged = crossbowman ? ; melee = knight/paladin ?
Orcs : melee = carbarian ; caster = shaman ; ranged = ??

Dwarf : melee = dwarf defender ; ranged = ? ; caster = maybe a runecaster with GM earth ?

BTW, can someone do something about those automatic log-outs? All I seem to do here is loging-in all the time.

Dwarf ranged: Cannonor
Orcs ranged: Troll Headhunter (throws spears or knives)

you look at general race bonuses and compare it what can be gained in game
Will skillpoint be rare and tied only to level ups ?
That humans could be really great with increased skill points at creation(unless they go in way of MM6+ where skillpoint were almost unlimited)
Similary with stat bonuses, flat are mostly useless at long run, %based could be reason why to choose that race above any else

“The bow is the Ranger’s favorite weapon. Although she can fight well in melee combat, she doesn’t want to participate, because she could die fast.
A ranger, alone in the wilderness for months at a time has to AVOID melee? Give me a break.
